This campus building addresses a part of sustainability often overlooked: planning for the future. This bolted aluminum structure is designed in pre-made panels to be flexible and provide for easy re-use. The glazing between these panels is used as an educational opportunity, utilizing cutting edge products for information display, energy collection, and shading.
Broad Ripple Center for Fashion Fall 2007
This proposal for a center for fashion design in Indianapolis, Indiana, centers around the human body. The center is arranged in three parts, for the head, torso, and legs, each with a different program: retail, museum, and auditorium. The roof drapes over these structures as a piece of clothing accents the body.
Artists' Studio and School Spring 2008
This project, located along the Monon Trail in Indianapolis, turns the abandoned lot of an old automobile factory into a charter school for the arts, complete with live-in studios and an auditorium. The new development focuses on keeping the industrial character in a modern setting, while establishing a feeling of community both within the compound and through the link of the bike trail.
Urban Dwelling Fall 2007
This loft is an urban space for a single business person, in a convenient location in downtown Muncie, Indiana. The space is designed to be a synthesis of the elements it is surrounded by, a space that engages rather than denies the fracture and decay of urban texture.
